ArtNight returns Friday offering free admission
Pasadena residents will have an opportunity to enjoy top local art institutions on Friday, from 6 to 10 p.m., when ArtNight Pasadena returns.
Several museums including the Norton Simon and the Armory Center will offer free admission. Planned by the Cultural Affairs Division of the Pasadena Planning & Community Development Department, ArtNight will also feature music, dancing and other surprises.
The Norton Simon, one of Southern California’s premier museums urges visitors to enjoy centuries of masterpieces from their permanent collection. Highlights include works by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Degas and Picasso plus fascinating sculptures from India and Southeast Asia.
City officials hope visitors use the hashtags #ArtNight2017 and #Pasadena on social media throughout the exciting evening event.
The City of Pasadena will also provide free shuttles to and from each location, with City Hall serving as the primary transit hub.
Free admission isn’t the only reason to come see Pasadena’s art collections on Friday night. Several venues will host food trucks.
