Critic says Monrovia is a top dining destination
This might explain the closing of Applebees in Monrovia. Citing Yelp! reviews, a North Carolina-based restaurant critic says Monrovia is one of the best places to eat in the United States.
In a post on Manteo Reviews titled “Critic’s Choice,” reviewer Daniel Rini cites five outstanding local restaurants. They are:

— The Diplomat, 109 E. Lemon Ave.
— Myrtle Tree Garden Cafe & Market, 405 S. Myrtle Ave.
