E-waste recycling event held at Rose Bowl
Pasadena will be hosting an e-waste disposal event on Saturday, at the Rose Bowl. Sponsored by the Department of Public Works, residents and businesses can safely dispose of electronics and sensitive documents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Parking Lot I of the Rose Bowl Stadium.
E-waste includes computers, laptops, scanners, cellphones, televisions and flat screens, DVD players, and household batteries. Many of these products have parts that can be recycled.
Signs will be posted at the Rose Bowl to guide visitors. The city of Pasadena also advised motorists and other locals to use caution while traveling through the area.
Free paper shredding will also be provided at the event, which will accept up to five boxes for shredding. Sensitive documents such as receipts, checks, pre-approved credit applications, credit card statements, outdated tax returns, and business cards are items that can be shredded.
