Here’s a list of Labor Day closures in the Foothills

This year Labor Day falls on Monday Sept. 5. Facilities and services across the Foothills will be closed for the federal holiday:

  • Closed: Schools, libraries, banks, courthouses and federal, state, county and city offices. Mail will not be delivered that day either.
  • Open: Most commercial businesses and retail outlets will be open. 626 Night Market (above) will also be open, holding its final market for the year.
  • Public Transit: Most Foothill Transit lines will be on weekend schedules. Buses and subway services in Los Angeles run on a holiday schedule. See full schedules for the Metro here, and Foothill Transit schedules here.
  • Trash: Athens Services, Burrtec Waste Industries and Waste Management will pick up trash on Tuesday instead of Monday.
