Pasadena residents learn about bicycle safety
Speakers with the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition addressed the City Council Monday seeking implementation of a program that could lower pedestrian and bicycle fatalities citywide.
The proposal, known as the Vision Zero Network, the effort is part of “a collaborative campaign aimed at building momentum and advancing this game changing shift toward safety, healthy, equitable mobility for all.”
Vision Zero is already operating in New York and San Diego.
City Transportation Director Fred Dock said the program needs to be tailored to Pasadena to calculate a funding commitment.
