YWCA Annual Meeting held in Pasadena tomorrow

The Pasadena-Foothill Valley YWCA will have its annual meeting on Wednesday at 50 North Hill Avenue in Pasadena. A welcome reception will start at 6 p.m., while the meeting itself will include voting for new officers, introductions of new board members, and summary of YWCA programs. Any member of the public can attend.

The YWCA has cast itself on the forefront of social justice in Pasadena. On October 17, the organization will hold its 14th Annual Women for Racial Justice Breakfast, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Pasadena Hilton Hotel. They are currently in the process of recruiting sponsors for the breakfast.

Three weeks ago, the YWCA held a community forum about the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. Hosted by the All Saint’s Church on North Euclid in Pasadena, the forum featured speakers from both the Muslim and LGBTQ communities.
